Amigurumi Video Tutorial for Zombie Finger

Autumn is here, the leaves are changing, the air is humid and fresh, and all the fun holidays are coming!

The first one to sneak up on us is Halloween! (Boo!) If you’re plotting a party you know you need one of these: a spooky fun amigurumi zombie finger! Follow the written instructions or the video tutorial below!

Materials:

  • 2.5mm crochet hook
  • 3.5mm crochet hook
  • Medium weight yarn in olive green
  • Medium weight yarn in dark red
  • Medium weight yarn in off-white
  • Fine weight yarn in old pink
  • Fine weight yarn in olive green
  • Embroidery and yarn needle
  • Darning needle
  • Sewing pins
  • Scissors
  • Stuffing

Abbreviations:

Finger

– With the dark green yarn and the 3.5mm hook

The finger is worked in continuous rounds. Don’t join rounds at the end. You may want to use a marker to indicate the beginning of the round. All stitches are worked in both loops unless indicated otherwise.

Rnd 1: 6sc in the magic ring (6st)

Rnd 2: (1sc, inc 2) x 3 (9st)

Rnd 3: (2sc, inc 2) x 3 (12st)

Rnd 4-­21: 12sc (12st)

Rnd 22: Front loop only ‐ 12sc (12st)

-­ Slst, needle join and weave in the ends.

-­ Stuff.

-­ Change to the dark red yarn.

Rnd 23: Back loop only -­ join with 1slst to the 1st stitch of Round 22, (inv dec 2) x 6 (6st)

-­ Reinforce the stuffing if needed.

-­ Close and weave in the ends.

Nail

– With the old pink yarn and the 2.5mm hook.

The nail is worked in rows. All stitches are worked in both loops.

Ch6

Rnd 1: 1sc in 2nd ch from the hook, 4sc, ch1, turn (5st)

Rnd 2-­5: 5sc, ch1, turn (5st)

Rnd 6: 1sc, 1hdc, 1dc, 1hdc, 1sc (5st)

– Slip stitch down the side of the nail.

– Slip stitch across the bottom.

– Slip stitch up the other side of the nail.

-­ Finish off and leave a long tail.

Attach the nail to the tip of the finger (do not attach the top edge).
