Amigurumi Pattern: Cacti and Succulent Bundle

If you love plants as much as I do, you’re going to love this new pattern bundle!
I’m so excited to introduce my second amigurumi cacti and succulents collection inspired by some of my favorite plants from my own growing collection.

Amigurumi and crochet cacti and succulents

I’ve always had a soft spot for cacti and succulents. Their unique shapes, textures and personalities make them so fun to recreate in yarn. This bundle is a little love letter to that passion, turning real plants into cute, low-maintenance amigurumi versions you can keep forever.

Whether you’re a plant lover, a crochet enthusiast or someone looking for fun handmade decor or gifts, this bundle has something special for you. They’re also great if you love plants but don’t always have the best luck keeping them alive (we’ve all been there!).

What’s Included in This Bundle

This pattern includes instructions to crochet 5 different cactus and succulent, each inspired by a real plant:

An amigurumi cacti in a terracotta pot

Easter Lily Cactus (Echinopsis subdenudata)

An amigurumi succulent in a ceramic pot

Crinkle Leaf Succulent (Adromischus cristatus)

Woman's hand holding up a crochet brain cactus

Brain Cactus (Mammillaria elongata cristata)

An amigurumi saguaro cactus in a ceramic pot

Saguaro Cactus (Carnegiea gigantea)

Woman's hand holding up a crochet golden barrel cactus in a terracotta pot

Golden Barrel Cactus (Echinocactus grusonii)

Each design captures the unique look and feel of the original plant while keeping that soft and cute amigurumi style.

The pattern includes, as well, a tutorial on how to attach the cacti to a ceramic or plastic pot, giving the plant an even more realistic look! =)

This PDF pattern has 50 pages with detailed step-by-step instructions with pictures to demonstrate assembly or any special techniques.

All patterns in this bundle are designed to be beginner-friendly with clear instructions and easy to follow with step-by-step guidance. They are great for practicing shaping and texture, and are perfect for small, satisfying projects.

And if five amigurumi cacti aren’t enough you can crochet six more from my first amigurumi cacti pattern bundle!

Skill Level & Techniques

These patterns are suitable for:

  • Beginners who know the basics
  • Crocheters looking for quick projects
  • Anyone who wants to practice shaping and texture

These little plants make such thoughtful handmade gifts. They’re cute and unique, long-lasting and great for birthdays, housewarmings, or just because!

You can even bundle a few together in the same pot to create your own crochet cacti arrangement.

This was such a joy to create, and I hope you enjoy making these little plants as much as I did designing them.

If you make any of these cacti or succulents, I’d love to see them! Feel free to share your creations and tag me on Instagram @Buddyrumi so I can cheer you on! 💛 🌵
