Materials:
- 2.5mm crochet hook
- 3.5mm crochet hook
- Medium weight yarn in olive green
- Medium weight yarn in dark red
- Medium weight yarn in off-white
- Fine weight yarn in old pink
- Fine weight yarn in olive green
- Embroidery and yarn needle
- Darning needle
- Sewing pins
- Scissors
- Stuffing

Abbreviations:
- Rnd: round
- St: stitches
- Slst: slip stitch
- Ch: chain
- Sc: singe crochet
- Hdc: half double crochet
- Dc: double crochet
- Inc: increase
- Inv dec: invisible decrease
Attaching the Nail
- Weave in the end from the beginning of the nail;
- Secure the nail to the finger with sewing pins;
- Thread the tail left at the of the nail on an embroidery needle;
- Catch a loop on the finger that’s right below the edge of the nail;
- Pull the yarn;
- Go under both loops of the first slip stitch on the edge of the nail;
- Pull the yarn;
- Go under both loops of the next slip stitch to the left, this time on the opposite direction;
- Pull the yarn;
- Catch a loop on the finger that’s right below the edge of the nail;
- Pul the yarn;
- Go under both loops of the same slip stitch the yarn is coming out of;
- Pull the yarn;
- Repeat from step 8 all around the nail except on the top;
- Finish off and weave in the end.
Making the Bone
- Cut a length of the off-white yarn;
- Thread it on the yarn needle;
- Secure the yarn to the finger making it come out a little bit off center in the red end of the finger;
- Make 2 French knots side by side.
Making a French Knot
- Place your needle in front of the yarn holding it perpendicularly to it;
- Wrap the yarn around the needle 5 to 6 times;
- Insert the needle back into the finger close to where it came out before but not on the same spot;
- Make the needle come out on the green part of the finger;
- Pull the yarn gently completing the first knot;
- Finish off and weave in the end;
- Make a second French knot right besides the first one.
Shaping the Finger
- See where you want the finger to bend and mark it with the sewing pins;
- Cut a length of the fine weight olive green yarn, join the ends and thread them on the darning needle;
- With the needle grab a loop to the right of the pin on the top;
- Pull the yarn gently until a loop forms;
- Insert the needle through the loop and pull securing the yarn;
- Insert the needle into the space at the bottom of the loop you secured the yarn;
- Make the needle come out the opposite side of the finger;
- Pull the yarn hiding the knot;
- Bring the yarn round through the front;
- Insert the needle into the same space as before;
- Make the needle come out on the left side of the sewing pin at the bottom;
- Bend the tip of the finger towards you and press down with your thumb on top of the stitch you just made;
- Pull the yarn tight creating the first bend;
- Bring the yarn round to the front one more time;
- Insert the needle into the right side of the finger;
- Make the needle come out at the spot where you secured the yarn;
- Bend the top of the finger towards you and press down with your thumb on top of the stitch you just made;
- Pull the yarn tight creating the second bend;
- Insert the needle into the same spot you just came out;
- Make the needle come out at the other side of the finger;
- Finish off and weave in the end.
