Anchor stranded cotton number 23 or similar for the nose

Felt in light pink, hot pink or red

Head
The head is worked in continuous rounds. Don’t join rounds at the end. You may want to use a marker to indicate the beginning of the round.
All stitches are worked in both loops.
Using the main color.
Rnd 1: 6sc in Magic Ring (6st)
Rnd 2: 6sc (6st)
Rnd 3: (inc 2) x 6 (12st)
Rnd 4: 12sc (12st)
Rnd 5: (1sc, inc 2) x 6 (18st)
Rnd 6-7: 18sc (18st)
– Place safety eyes between rounds 4 and 5
– Begin to stuff

Arms

Rnd 1: 5sc in Magic Ring (5st)
Rnd 2-5: 5sc (5st)
– Close flat and leave long tail. On one of the arms leave a tail long enough to attach the arm to the body and secure the keychain the top of the head.
Legs – Mouse
The legs of the mouse are worked in continuous rounds. Don’t join rounds at the end. You may want to use a marker to indicate the beginning of the round.
All stitches are worked in both loops.
Using the main color.
Rnd 1: 5sc in Magic Ring (5st)
Rnd 2-5: 5sc (5st)
– Slst and leave long tail.
Legs – Rabbit
The legs of the rabbit are worked in continuous rounds. Don’t join rounds at the end. You may want to use a marker to indicate the beginning of the round.

Using the secondary color.

– Change to the main color
Rnd 3-5: 5sc (5st)
– Slst and leave long tail.
Ears – Mouse
The ears of the mouse are worked in continuous rounds. Don’t join rounds at the end. You may want to use a marker to indicate the beginning of the round.

Rnd 2: (inc 2) x 5 (10st)
– Slst and leave long tail.
Ears – Rabbit
The ears of the rabbit are worked in rows.
All stitches are worked in both loops.
Using the main color.
Ch9
Row 1: slst into the 3rd back bump of the chain, 2sc, 2hdc, 1sc, inc 3, 1sc, 2hdc, 2sc, 1slst (15st)
– Leave long tail, weave it down through the back to the bottom of the ear.
Tail – Mouse
The tail of the mouse is worked in rows.
All stitches are worked in the back bumps of the chain.
Using the main color.
Ch 12
Row 1: slst into the 3rd back bump of the chain, 9slst (10st)
– Leave long tail
Tail – Rabbit
The tail of the rabbit is worked in continuous rounds. Don’t join rounds at the end. You may want to use a marker to indicate the beginning of the round.
All stitches are worked in both loops.
Using the secondary color.
Rnd 1: 4sc in Magic Ring (4st)
Rnd 2: 4sc (4st)
– Slst and leave long tail.
Assembly
– Attach the body to the head.
– Attach ears to the head.
– Attach arms and legs to the body.
– Attach tail to the body.
– Sew nose (instructions below).
– Sew mouth (instructions below).
– Cut a little heart in felt and glue it to the chest area.
– Attach keychain to the top of the head (instructions below).
Nose
1. Insert needle into the head, pull gently until the tail is hidden. Catch a stitch that you know is going to be under the nose and pull.
2. Catch the same stitch once more and pull thread until you have a loop. Insert needle into the loop and pull. The thread in now secure.
3. Insert needle into the top right corner of the nose and make it come out on the bottom corner.
4. Repeat step 3 inserting the needle always a little bit to the left and always making it come out on the bottom corner until you have the desired shape.
5. Secure and weave in ends. Nose is complete.
Mouth
1. Mark the beginning and end of the mouth. Insert the needle into where you want to start the mouth and make it come out a little bit further.
2. Pull yarn gently until you have a small tail left.
3. Tie a double knot with the tail and the yarn.
4. Insert the needle into the first space where mouth begins and pull the yarn until the knot is hidden.
5. Insert the needle into the same space as before and make it come out a few stitches further. Pull yarn.
6. With a running stitch (dashed line) start to make the desired shape of the mouth. Make sure that the mouth ends in a point where the needle exits the head.
7. Insert needle into the 1st stitch from the bottom and repeat until the last stitch.
8. Insert the needle into the last stitch a second time.
9. Pull the yarn gently creating a loop.
10. Pull yarn, creating a knot.
11. To hide the knot insert the needle into the 1st space of the mouth and make it come out the back. Pull the yarn until the knot is no longer visible and cut the tail.
12. Mouth is completed.
Keychain
1. Thread the tail left from one of the arms into the tapestry needle. Insert the tapestry needle into the body and make it come out on the top and middle of the head.
2. Insert needle into the last ring of the chain and pull.
3. Insert needle into the top and middle of the head making it come out the bottom of the body, between the legs.
4. The chain is now secure. If you want repeat steps 1 to 3.
5. Secure end between the legs and weave in.
6. Keychain secured.
