As you might have guessed by now, I’m working on the second Gardening with Crochet amigurumi pattern! =D
This time the woolly garden will include:
The mighty Saguaro (Carnegiea gigantea).
This guy was born from a request made from one of you guys! Requests and suggestions are always welcome, so fire away! ^^
The funny Brain Cactus (Mamillaria elongate ‘cristata’).
The skull and brain of Yorick, as I like to call this amigurumi fella, were finished a long time ago but I wasn’t sure on how to crochet the eyes. I tried simple eyes, leaving it blank with just the depressions from the needle sculpting, and tried many different types of flowers. The flowers were definitely the way to go, always reminding me of the sugar skulls that I love so much! It was only when I tried these flowers on him that I thought he was completed! I truly love him and he will be on my desk watching my every move forever! ^^
The well known Golden Barrel Cactus (Echinocactus grusonii).
I’m not sure if I’ll make flowers for this big guy or little babies around his base… I’m leaning more and more to the babies… What do you think? Babies or flowers?
The elegant Echinopsis subdenudata cactus.
I really want to crochet the flower for this guy and really want to make it justice!
And this time I decided to include a succulent in our amigurumi garden: the Crinkle-Leaf Plant (Adromischus cristatus).
The Crinkle-Leaf Plant just has a few leafs for now but I think it’s coming on very well!
Also, this time I want to have a bit of fun with the pots so I think I might crochet one or two! =)
